Job Vacancy – General Assistant – Hadleigh, Suffolk

Press Gang Laundry is a well-established local family business, and we are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking General Assistant to support our manager and team.

About the Role

This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with our small team to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the laundry. A cheerful, team-focused attitude is essential, along with the willingness to roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed.

Duties will include:

• Serving customers at reception with a welcoming manner
• Answering the phone and dealing with customer enquiries
• Generating customer bills
• Unpacking customer boxes/bags of laundry
• Loading and unloading washing machines and dryers
• Assisting on the shop floor with ironing/presswork when required

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm (may finish earlier)
• No weekends or Bank Holidays
